Long Weekend
"Wasn't this weekend very long. I felt like I have come to office after years".People in office gave me a strange look. I sensed my stupidity, turned and sat at my computer. And I thought what made me feel so?
Friday night we had the wildest party we ever had at our place. Loads of chicken, drinks and loud music. We played music and danced like fools all around the house. We imitated KK of honeymoon travels on the same song. We danced till late in the night. Next day in the morning our neighbour asked if we had a party last night. Before we could say sorry he said its good to have parties once in a while.
Earlier that evening we had to celebrate a friend's job, someone said lets party here itself instead of spending lots of money in Lemon Grass. And I said I don't want this party to be sad with jagjit singh and Atif songs. I want it to be dynamic and cheerful party. And I am happy that we were successful.
Saturday went off sleeping. I slept in the daytime for 5-6 hrs to avoid boredom. But Sunday was horrible. TV was on for the whole day and I had grown sick and tired of it. So I stepped outside, sat on the bike parked outside and started thinking.
I thought of the college days, how fresh I was that time. I miss those tender feelings. When I used to carry dreams in my mind and long for them. I still carry such dreams, only the longing has gone, its been replaced by numbness. Thoughts have become very viscous. Very lazy. And I am growingly becoming ignorant and reluctant about everything.
Just few months back I had declared that I won't join IIM Indore if I get a final call. Now I think I might join if they send a call.
All that vigour is continuously slowing down.
And I grew sad. After staying cheerful for a week I grew sad. And the intensity was so high that I was growing uncomfortable. I went to get some noodles for dinner and when that guy told me that noodles are over my eyes got wet. I know it sounds ridiculous but I felt very bad. Most frustrating was the realisation that I didn't have any reason to grow sad. I stopped playing songs on my mobile and stuffed the headphone in my pocket. While driving back home I didn't want to reach home. I wanted to drive off somewhere on an endless highway.
I listened to Pink Floyd yesterday after a long time to overcome the sadness which happened for no reasons at all.
