Guitar... Stars... Life...

C - F - G - Am - Dm - Em

He kept strumming these chords in random succession just to practice them. And he heard a voice from behind.

Which song is this. Sounds familiar.

Oh no. I am just playing a random sequence. These are relative chords, thats why they sound like a song to you.

And he went back into strumming all the six of them, in absolute random succession. But it sounded so single, so very connected. So very melodious. He stopped playing the guitar, placed it in the corner and stepped out. He sat on his bike outside, and played in his mobile the recording of same random sequence he had strummed few minutes back. Was it good? oh it was melodious...

It was a song, a lovely song...

And he drowned into his world of thoughts. He looked up into the sky... What about stars... They are not related or connected... And he smiled for a split second before he saw a plastic spoon in the waste basket nearby. He looked up in the sky again searching for something... Yes it was there. Beautiful as ever...

It was a constellation, a lovely constellation.

He closed his eyes. As tightly as possible. As if never to open it again. Perhaps he was searching for something. Something he had lost, or maybe never had.

Early that day he talked with a friend about how busy he was these days with so much to do. Results to wait for, exams to write, work in office, some research to do, an ngo to work for. And his friend said.

Don't do so much of it all. You'll wear yourself out.

He said, No, I am quite fine with it all. I know I've been doing lots of things, but I am not bored of anything. And unless I am bored, I won't wear myself out.

Silence...

And he thought...

I am not bored... I am....

happy?

Silence again...

happiness... melody... beauty... they are so related. Aren't they?

And he smiled... the guitar... the stars were his new teacher. They just taught him a new lesson. A precious lesson of life.

He opened his blog and wrote these words.

"Life is beautiful when all we do can combine into a single meaning".

He smiled and closed his eyes. Next day he had to start a new search. And he knew what exactly he had to search for.

It was life, a beautiful life...

A search for a meaning of life which could define all his actions.

Well... almost all.

naaah, i tend to disagree......life is beautiful because it is chaotic. there is not just one single meaning that you can derive out of this, infact there are a multitude of meanings, a multitude of events, sometimes which draw you in different directions.
It is we who decide to choose one particular meaning and go on with it. Life per se would be random, and chaotic. but with a method to the chaos.
Look around you the entire universe, it is built on an inherent chaos. :)
