Green... Or maybe...

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head...

He had been humming these verses all through the morning. It was bright and sunny outside, after heavy showers last night. Rain had washed all the trees around making the surroundings greener than ever.

But the thunderstorm had caused lots of leaves to fall off the trees. He looked at the leaves below on the ground. They had mixed with the soil and didn't look green anymore.

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head...

He preferred to look up at the trees... very green, and as he had already declared... greener than ever. Raindrops were trapped in the leaves draining off with every splash of cold wind. And he noticed that the tree had lost lots of leaves and branches last night. He could see the street children taking away all the branches which had fallen down.

Perhaps they'd burn it all. He didn't realize that he had actually spoken these words.

And the tree stood there, green, wet, and with very few branches, but bright and lust green. And he thought, in few months new branches will come out and the tree would again be full.

Or maybe a few more thunderstorms will occur, the tree will loose all its branches and will never again be affected by the thunderstorm. Though it would also loose its greenery, its leaves.
He knew that trees breathe through leaves.

And he noticed that he was humming some other song. Some other very familiar song...

i can't explain you will not understand, this is not how I am...
i have become...

And suddenly he came out of his dream world. He stopped humming. Ran inside the house, locked the door from inside and started singing loudly...

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head...

very loudly...

very loud for others

but not loud enough... for himself.
