Thoughts at 35000 feet…

I m going to Mumbai. Well, no interviews or something. Just that its been a long time since I met bhaiya. And the second reason is that Roger Waters is going to perform in Mumbai this weekend. Roger Waters of Pink Floyd.

So I m traveling on this Air Deccan flight which didn’t turn out to be as scary as I had thought. I had expected some duct tapes on my seat to prevent the filling from coming out, some broken glasses sealed by Air Deccan brand Cello Tape, some ugly Air Hostesses and falling baggages. Well nothing like this happened and I actually liked this concept of no inflight food. After all I don’t have an eating cycle of one and a half hour neither does a height of 9000m make me feel so hungry that I turn to eat any edible or non-edible substance lying in the aircraft. And best part is, I can enjoy writing this post without any graceful disturbances of the kind “Would you like veg or non-veg food”. Once I dared to deny the breakfast they offered on Kingfisher flight and the expression on her face was as if I had rejected her proposal for marriage. I had to accept the fruits she offered me as something in me told me that she might embarrass me if I deny it any more. And the ambience and the culture told me that every other passenger would start murmuring about me… “You know what, he denied the food”. “Really!! How disgusting”. “How could he do it to her, she might be broken”. And maybe in the scariest show I’ve ever heard of… “Sansani” one guy with killer instincts would have said “Jee haan yehi hai woh vahashi darinda jisne is bholi bhali airhostess se khana lene se mana kar diya”.

So here I am on a hassle free Air deccan flight. And the captain just announced which all places we would be crossing on our journey to Mumbai from the left side and from the right side. So we are going to cross Bellary n some more places on the right side and Hubli and some more places on the left. I am not sure why is this information really needful maybe they have some air stations for selling snacks which only the people on respective side can access. He also told that in Mumbai we would be crossing dharavi and some more places, maybe they have limited parachutes and those who want to get down at those places will have to book parachutes for them. Pretty customized services... I am impressed.

Right now I have my lychee juice I bought and the plane is perhaps running on some railway track or something because I can’t concentrate on the screen due to the jerks. Maybe even this is also a part of the value added services of Air Deccan. Now you can ask for occasional jerks if you are afraid of falling asleep and missing the air station or your drop point. That’s cool…

I swear I opened my lappy to write something very serious. So let me do that now. I promise you’d see this post if I land safely in Mumbai. And yes, I haven’t booked any parachute for any drop points.

P.S.: The serious post is still under construction.
