Patna "Junction" - 2

Ok let me give you a situation. I was sitting with all gossipers of my family, bhaiya bhabhi, mummy, didi and jijaji and we were talking. What on the earth can possibly be the topic of talks....

Yes you guessed it right (if at all you were serious). The next big event of our family is going to be my wedding and all struck the chord at once. All through the debate, views kept on changing. Initially bhabhi said I should find someone myself, didi said I should either let mummy n papa find the girl for me or find someone who is tall, from bihar and from the same caste... (ok so this is one of her lets buy a sari sprees). Finally everyone said I should decide and turned at me. All this while, I was half playing a game on bhaiyas mobile and half listening to the conversation.

Silence...

Well... koi hai to nahi hi aur ab woh age nikal gayi so the task is all yours... Wanted to say more but kept silent.

I went back to the game. Now that I write this I think I should complete the last post. There was a strange familiarity on her face. If it was not Patna and she weren’t accompanied by a bodyguard looking man, I would sure have gone down and broken a conversation with her. Atleast I think so. Maybe for a reason beyond the weight of marginal utility of risking making ass of me against getting along with her.

She had noticed me. Definitely not for the traces of attractiveness in my looks but for the cool black IIM Calcutta tee I was wearing. I kept looking back at her with eyes of a thief... running away when caught. And she threw a flamboyant smile after catching me with my innocent look. Maybe this is why I liked to keep stealing the look. I wanted to see more of that smile. Anyways, the point isn’t that it was another DDLJ in making or something. The point is... that it happened after a long time. Liking a strange girl at first sight... opening a small window for a crush maybe.

I mean... when was the last time I noticed a girl and remembered her face, smile and the color of her dress and sandals.

Maybe Bhabhi’s line of thinking is a distant possibility. Even if it isn’t, I like it this way.
