Experiences
Ok this post has been long overdue. I have been asked by my friends about why am I not updating my blog now. I had never thought that I would become this irregular at my blog although I have been willing to write.Anyways i came here to talk about experiences. In our marketing class so many times talks have surfaced about the ego-expressive products and how they are more linked to experience rather than features.
I have been through so many experiences in last 2 months that its impossible to list them down here. Many of them I would refrain from posting here because they are like treasures. You don't share them. They are meant to be experienced.
Let me present few glimpses of the experiences I have felt here.
- Sitting in L1 listening to the lecture, instantly my eyes get glued at the podium with emblem of IIM Calcutta printed on it. And I feel an extra flow of blood through my veins. I am at IIM Calcutta...
- Preparing for FinAcc quiz the next day I study through the night just to catch the glimpse of early dawn and realize that I have only 2 hours to sleep. Fall asleep while thinking of all this without setting alarm for the morning. 15 minutes before class, subconsciously realize that I have a quiz and wake up in sudden urgency.
- After mere 2 hours of sleep in the night I sit through one and a half hour class of Prof. LeenChat about theory of Erik Erikson with eyes wide open and a feeling of awe in my mind. Could feel sleepy only 2 hours after the class got over.
- In the Session 12 of Stats, thump (at IIM Calcutta we dont clap, we thump) the hardest to welcome Prof RaMu who came to take a compensatory class (he is the most admired teacher here). 2-3 minutes of continuous thumping and welcoming only to get followed up by another more vigorous round after his brief speech. We love RaMu.
- Writing the mid-term paper of MicroEcon set by Prof. Arijit Sen with a smile on the face and feeling proud after analyzing every question. MicroEcon indeed is much more than just linear equation in two variables as I had believed in college.
- Sitting through the lecture of Prof. Arijit Sen and wondering what good had I done in my life to deserve such a fine teacher.
- Wondering how logical and interesting Marketing can be if it is taught by Prof Prafull Agnihotri as compared to reading from Kotler and Keller.
- Headbanging all through the night while standing just below the stage where JBS performs and shouting JBS rockks as hard as I can...
- Sitting on jetty staring into the early dawn just behind the green skyline created by the trees along the lake.
- Waking up at 4 in the morning to capture Early Morning @ Joka.
- Studying in my room, spotting a beautiful bird in the grass through my window and running to get hold of my camera to capture it.
Joka Rockks!!! Labels: IIM-C
