Few days back a friend told me that she is visiting Naadi shastra. Some other testimonies suggest that they can fairly accurately predict future. My first reaction was... why would you want to know your future? While the intensity with which I raised this question has diluted with Anurag testing my intent every other day by saying that maybe its not that bad an idea and I should also go for it, I still don't think I would want to do something like that.

People say life is like an opaque box of chocolates and the fun is in not knowing whats the next chocolate you are going to pull out when you put your hands in...

Well I say cut the crap its just that I am fairly happy with my present and the memories I hold from the past. While the future may be good/better, I don't really think someone telling me the city I will settle in or the amount of money I am going to make or first name of my prospective life partner will change anything for better. We screw up only when we long for the exact picture of desired future.

So let me not buy a finished painting and stare at it for life. I would much rather like to paint my own painting on a blank canvas with the colors I have or get hold of.

Who are these people to decide what am I going to end up like.
