Happy Valentines Day

"Ok so this is how I would surprise her on Valentines Day. I will plan a whole eventful day".

Did i say I would? It should be I would have. This is something I told Gaurav when he asked me what to plan for Rashmi on V day. We were on our usual Black Label party at his place.

"She is coming all the way from Pune to celebrate it with me, I should also plan something good for her. What should I do for the V day yaar," I was staring out of the window when he asked me this.

Who me??? All I could think of were the new adjectives and comments I have got in last few months.

Yaar tere paas dil nahi patthar hai

.
You are the most ruthless person in our wing.

You are disturbingly indifferent and cold about things.

Tell me some place I should take her to? And no Victorias, Zoos please.

I laughed, "Yaar I hardly know a place here. Ok I'll do one thing. I would tell you of what I would have done if I had to plan it and I were in bangalore".

"Ok".

"Good... So The day would have started at 4 in the morning with a trip to Nandi Hills. We would have spent time till sunrise there. It would have been a nice refreshing start to the day. From there we would have got back to my place for a healthy delayed home cooked breakfast over a nice music in the background. At 11 or something we would have left for Garuda mall to the scary house. Then we would have had a lunch in Sahib Sindh Sultan. after lunch we would have gone to Amoeba at Church Street for games. Then.... some go carting. Then evening at some rooftop lounge (like Hint) if they are not crowded. After some time there, we would have headed for a dinner at Ebony on 13th Floor on a table for two overlooking the whole city from a peaceful height. And after that we would have got back home, seen a movie on dvd with popcorn and coffee...".

All he was doing was giving me a what-the-hell-are-u-talking-about look. And I was still looking out somewhere. My eyes were glowing. Maybe he was thinking I gave him a typical hindi movie cliche....

But sometimes cliche' are the most adorable things to do. Maybe I am grossly wrong.

Funny indeed... How I had the patience of listing down all these places.
Funny indeed... How stupid this whole idea sounds to me now as I write it all.
Funny indeed... How my eyes had done all that glowing then when they are bored now on the same thought.
Funny indeed.... What a split personality I am.

Finally he ended up starting the day with a half day of work at office, while she got bored at home. And the only thing they are going to do is going out for dinner at night. Perhaps even this is romantic.

After all it doesn't matter where and how you spent the whole day. All that matters is with whom you spent it...

Am I still cold?

I guess I am...

One Black Label please.
