Not a Movie Review
Ok I am not into movie reviewing... If at all I were into it, I would have reviewed the likes of spideys, shreks, lebowskis, no smokings, shawshank redemptions etc etc. But the point here is that I went to watch this new hindi movie by Yash Rajs called rab ne bana di jodi and I can't help but comment on the movie. So S asked us if we were ready for movie tonight and as usual I said a default yes. But somehow inertia caught me and I changed it to a no. Although I finally did go for the movie. Hey when did it start happening to me??? Well... don't know... ok more on that later.... I came to talk about the movie.
So we went out to the South City Mall and got ourselves tickets for 8:30 show while one of us made this passing comment that most of the bengali girls are very short. And ya.... its true. Its hard to guess from behind if its a kid or an eligible lady. We ended up tagging one of our friends a paedo asterisk asterisk... (to avoid getting my blog as a search result for weird google searches). And a minute after that I was like... wait... was she really a kid??? There are many more fundae about bengali girls... their eyes are like oceans and why do I grow sad on seeing bengali girls at south city mall.... but more about them later (except for the growing sad part.... chuck it). I am here to talk about the movie.
So we sat in a nice theater at nice center seats to watch the latest Aditya Chopra flick (this is the guy who made me feel how first love is like through his awesome DDLJ).
Well if you have been through the expressions like "Legen... wait for it ...dary", "Are you with me" etc etc.. (first one of Barnie of HIMYM fame and the second one of adorable IIMC prof fame) then add one more expression to it which takes less than an hour to grow into a sad cliche...
Sacche pyar mein rab dikhta hai (or something like that)
Shahrukh Khan has been given to do what he loves to do... Saddest part of the movie was the cute poor lady who had been forced to act... or pretend to do so. Why don't they use the existing good looking actresses (the ones who can act).
Well... in all I didn't dislike the movie. I infact liked few parts of the movie. No matter how lamely dramatized story the chopras and johars do, they know how to strum that chord down somewhere which touches you where all these lame things sound insignificant.
So no matter how much fun I make about the movie here on how lame it was at places, I would still say I liked sitting through it. Though I won't do that again.
Disclaimer: If you are of those types who liked the likes of Kal ho na ho, KANK, Yaadein etc. (indicative but not exhaustive list) then ignore these comments. I have been too much into negativity these days to be trusted for reviewing a movie (...and hence the title).
Ah ya... Negativity.... Its fun. Its comforting... And its not demanding at all. It has no bottom and no top. It demands for no friends no foes. All it needs is darkness and interestingly, darkness is more abundant in universe than light. Well... more on that later.... Or maybe let me go on....
No... later... Labels: Movie

I think the best part about this post were the last words...
How very true it is...
there is hardly any hardwork involved in finding the negative aspects of every darn thing around...but then its the positivity which keeps all of us going...
Interesting blog :)
Cheers...
