November Rain

I took this snap froom the office rooftop on friday... It was so dark and cloudy that day. And it rained very heavily... I had lots of work and very little interest in work. I wanted to spend the day on the rooftop sipping lemon tea just outside the shades to recieve the small droplets of water adequate enough to moisten my face.
And then at night Ady said lets go to Purple Haze... I wasn't really in rock mood but i somehow didn't say a no to him... We reached there at 10PM. Streets in bangalore become almost dead by 10 in the evening. But as soon as we entered the place I was shocked... For the first time the ambience there seemed to be so repulsive to me. The music was deafening loud. The smoke was so suffocating. People were shouing with the songs being played...
We found a place for two and settled there. The guy next to me was banging his head so hard that I seriously kept staring at him for a minute in a hope that it would fall off on the floor. And then there was a girl in the group just opposite to us completing the circle of 8-9 guys who were drowned in music, beer and laughter. She just sat with them watching them finish their beer in one gulp as if guarding her conscience on the periphery of numbness... And there was one couple on the right side table... drowned in music, drinks and each other as if unaware of the crowd, music and thenselves...
It all was looking so strange, weird and uncomfortable... for the first time.... The only thing I had in mind was the rain outside... The November Rain.
I looked at the sharp edges of the luminous red fire flames carved out of the ceiling. There was something cold about that fire... something dark about its light... And then I saw circles... lots and lots of circles just above my head, painted on the wall. All were round to the perfection, I wished few of them were ovals... or maybe like the flames up in the ceiling. I closed my eyes to imagine that. But then something struck my eardrums... Something very familiar.
It was the starting guitar of the song "Coming Back to life", on accoustic guitar... I opened my eyes and saw Gilmour on the screen sprinkling magic out of one simple accoustic guitar. Just then something started to dissolve me... I could feel that I was becoming homogeneous. Centrally located... And then I found that mu feets were tapping. I was singing along... perhaps like the gruoup of 8-9 guys opposite to us. And when it finished I didn't know the next song but it sounded good... The fire seemed to be glowing, the circles ... don't really remember I didn't look at them but I do believe from where I saw they looked oval. Was it raining outside....???
Its a magical place... You can forget all ur worries, all your life... Go there and recreate ur life... Like the 9-10 guys n gal opposite to us, like the couple on the right side table... Like the headbanging guy next to us.....
like me...
I'll keep that life like a treasure... to live in it whenever I feel like.
